Queensland Tourism Minister of Cambodia from 15 children in Phnom Penh, said Minister of Tourism will be the 10 ASEAN countries signed here, "2011-2015 Strategic Plan of the ASEAN Tourism Development", seeks to ASEAN region into a world-class tourist destination.
Children held in Kunming in 2011, the day of the ASEAN Tourism Forum Senior Officials Meeting , said that the next 5 years strategic plan for tourism development of ASEAN will be held on 17 ASEAN Tourism Ministers meeting , signed, and its main contents include the strengthening of ASEAN tourism promotion and building of the ASEAN tourism products to develop tourism human resources, to achieve air liberty, and travel safety, by 2015 the ASEAN citizens of visa-free countries in the region, visitors to other countries to implement measures such as the ASEAN single visa, and to develop cultural and eco-tourism, the ASEAN region into a world first-class tourist destination.
Tong Kun said that the ASEAN countries of tourists annually receive about 65 million people, of whom 40% of tourists in ASEAN region, 20% from China, Japan and South Korea, 10% from Europe and the United States. ASEAN countries, tourism has become an important economic pillar industries.
Tong Kun said that in 2010, Cambodia received the 250 million foreign tourists, an increase of 16%; tourism revenue of about 1.7 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 10% of gross domestic product, but also created about 400 000 employment opportunities. 2015, the number of foreign tourists in Cambodia will be 400 million.
ASEAN Tourism Forum 2011 will continue until 15, 24, senior officials meeting was one of them. During the forum, the ASEAN national tourism agencies will also be held the meeting , the ASEAN Tourism Ministers meeting , ASEAN and China, Japan, Korea, India and Russia Tourism Ministers Meeting and the major tourism development.
ASEAN Tourism Forum is the largest ASEAN tourism cooperation framework, established in 1981, held once a year. ASEAN Tourism Forum 2010 held in Brunei.
