As of the end of 2009, the government departments across the country registered 328 private museums, located in 28 provinces, accounting for 10.86% of the total museum. State departments and local governments increasingly attach importance to the construction of private museums, many local museums will be incorporated into development programs and support areas.
The forum adopted the "initiative" to appeal to the National Museum of clear private property of public cultural services, and improve the Council as the core of the corporate governance structure, strengthen the collection management and professional personnel training, enhance the display level of service, through innovation institutional mechanisms and the Office of Museum mode, so run the museum a museum an important growth point in the development of the reform and promotion of the museum an important force for building a public cultural service system, to promote cultural development and prosperity of a more positive contribution.
